Among Us vs Fortnite!?

Among Us and Fortnite are both some of the most popular video games in 2021. Fortnite has over 350 million users, and Among Us with around 60 million! But, which one is better?

Ease of Play

Fortnite is an easy to learn game with simple controls. However, accessing your inventory can sometimes be difficult in the midst of a match. Also, building controls are a bit tricky to learn in the beginning.

Among Us might be even easier to play than Fortnite is. There is joystick used for controlling the character, and another button used to do a task, vent, or sabotage.

Gameplay

Both games are about surviving and eliminating opponents. (If you are the imposter in among us) But, Fortnite is a lot more detailed and has more to offer in a game, as the rounds last longer.

Content

We all know that updates are frequent in Fortnite. The game also offers a variety of new skin packs, dance emotes, and more in the item shop every day. These, you can buy with v-bucks, or real money.

fortnite item shop

Among Us however, once launched, did not offer any new updates or items to make the game more interesting, although they are working on adding more content and fixing problems encountered in the game. You can buy skins or pets for your among us character.

Popularity

The last contest between the two games is popularity. Among us has been getting more and more everyday views. It has been titled around the 3rd most streamed game, which is placed higher than Fortnite. Fortnite has been losing its everyday active users, and people are referring to the game by saying “it is kind of dying”. However, it seems to have been making a comeback according to some game trackers, by placing top 20 on the list of the most popular PC games.

Which game would you rather play? Among us or Fortnite? Please comment down below!

Fortnite – A Situational Build Fight

The last post talked about creative, and the most popular maps in the game mode. Building is needed for almost every mode in Fortnite, creative, or battle royale. So here is a fun, situational building strategy you can use against opponents!

Suggestions for Easier Building

  • Get some key binds for your mouse or controller; These help a lot, because they allow you to do more things at a time, such as building. It also increases your building speed.

Fortnite Situational Building Strategy

When you are trapped in a fight, and just can’t think of anything else, try confusing your opponent. It is super useful and can be helpful when you want to get the fight over with.

Let’s say that your opponent has built a box around them like this:

Fortnite

Now, every time you try to break down a wall, they keep rebuilding it. So instead, try to confuse them. First, place a stair in front of their box. Then, go up the ramp, break the pyramid that is on top of their box, and immediately place a pyramid of your own.

This next part is a little tricky, and will require some practice. But, now you will edit the pyramid that you put on top, so that it allows you to have a view of the mat your opponent has put as their roof. Your goal is to break that roof, but to confuse them so you are able to do it without them rebuilding.

Okay, now you put a stair to the left or right of their box. This will trick your opponent into thinking you are about to jump down. And you are going to do that. Jump down onto your stair, shotgun their side wall, but go BACK up to the top of their box. So while your opponent is trying to replace the wall that you broke, you quickly shoot their roof with your shotgun, and add your own roof. The reason you use a shotgun is because it is more effective than using your pickaxe, and you will be prepared with a gun incase the other player tries to shoot you. So now that you have added a roof, quickly edit it, so that you can see your opponent. Switch to your shotgun, and finish them off.

Creative Mode in Fortnite -Everything you need to know

Fortnite creative mode is amazing when you just want to get creative and follow your own rules! This mode is an opportunity for you to practice and test out your skills while battling with opponents. Creative offers you different modes, so learn about them now!

Creative Play Mode

When you first join creative, it will take you to a creative hub, where you are able to join an island. Public islands are available to everyone, but private ones require a certain code to join. You can also create your own creative island map, and customize the game to be more fun!

Island Controls

BHE Build Fights

BHE Build Fights

This island is so much fun, because it is similar to battle royale, except for the endless supply of materials. The game can also last for a maximum of four hours – without the host ending it – and allows you to carry weapons that you wouldn’t see in battle royale. The point of this game is to come in first place and take victory royale at the end of each round. As players start joining your game, you will have a blast teaming with friends and killing off opponents! (Weapons and healing items will reappear at the same place after someone takes them.)

PVP Box Fights

PVP Box Fights

In this island, players will be versing each other – no teaming! – and you will be in a box shaped fort with your opponents to start out. Weapons and healing items will be randomly assigned to your inventory. This island is all about strategy, so use your brain and building skills to win the round!

Creative Build Mode

Creative Build Mode

In creative build mode, you get to have your own private island, where only friends can join! In this mode, their is no limit to building, as your materials never run out; This makes it perfect for practicing and building anything you want, from tall skyscrapers, to small forts! Create amazing islands with your friends, and get ready to have fun.

These are only some of the main islands in creative, but there are a lot more. So be sure to explore new islands and have fun! If you are struggling with building and box fights, check out my next post, coming soon. . .

Guns and Weapons in Fortnite Season 7

Guns and weapons are the most important things you need to survive in Fortnite. But there are so many types of them, so how do you know which ones to get, which to avoid, and which ones work the best? Well, read more to find out!…

Different Colors of the Guns and Which Ones to Get

When you see guns in Fortnite, you know some are different colored than others. You might think that the colors are at random, but actually, these colors represent the rarity of the gun, and how good it is:

Golden; These are Legendary and the best in the whole game! They are usually located in vaults, rare chests, and supply drops, so if you spot one, make some space in your inventory slots, and grab it immediately!

Purple; These are Epic and are ranked second best, also like Golden, these guns are usually found in vaults, supply drops, and rare chests.

Blue; These are Rare and good for critical damage to your opponents. These guns come in handy, and you should have at least one of it in your inventory space.

Green; These are Uncommon, and perfect if you’re in a rush with another player in front of you. I recommend finding some of the better guns, but until you do, remember to keep these on hand if they are the only ones you can find.

Grey; These are Common, and ranked the worst guns in Fortnite, but if you can’t seem to find any better guns, then these will have to do for the time being.

Harvesting Tools

The first default slot of your inventory space is used up by your harvesting tool, or pickaxe. Harvesting tools are tools used for breaking or harvesting wood, bricks, and steel. Wood and bricks are used for building structures and have a limit of 999 in total for each, but harvest as much as you can!

fortnite season 6

Fortnite Season 7 Changes, Mythics, and More!

Some of you may already know about Fortnite’s changes after each season, but some of you might not! The game has recently been updated to Fortnite-chapter 2-season 7, complete with all the cool new Mythics, landmarks, and dance emotes! You guys probably want to know all about it. . .

What are V-Bucks?

You might have heard some people bragging about how many V-Bucks they have, and what they spent it on, but you might be wondering, what are they? Well, V-Bucks are basically like game money for Fortnite. You can earn V-Bucks even if you don’t have the battle pass, by accomplishing your map challenges or quests; These usually include things like, Search Chests, or Set structures on fire. You can also sometimes get free 100 v-bucks from the battle pass if you reach a certain level.

V-Bucks are really important, because with them, you can buy all sorts of cool dance emotes and skins. Each person starts out with a default character, but as you level up and gain more and more V-Bucks, you will be able to buy items, dance emotes, and skin packs from the item shop. Skins can change your character looks and clothes completely. Some of the trending skins right now are: Current Battle Pass skins, Neymar Jr., Ruby Shadows – Street Shadows Pack, and Catwoman Zero.

Some people don’t have enough V-Bucks, so you have an option to buy it with real money because these kinds of offers don’t last too long. Dance emotes are for when you want to do a little victory celebration after beating someone in a fight. But whatever you do with it, remember to use your game money wisely, and you’ll have nothing to worry about!

Mythic Bosses

Mythic bosses are special non-player characters (NPC) from the game that can only spawn in one location. In the game, you can go to their spawns and kill them to get their weapons. Some of these weapons are the most powerful in the whole game! Season 7 also includes NPCs that you can interact, and trade gold bars with for different items and exotic weapons!

Here are the names of those NPC bosses, their spawn lands, and their weapons:

Shadow Tracker Pistol – For 400 gold sold by Maven

fortnite season 7, shadow tracker pistol location

Maven is an NPC that spawns in Corny Complex. You can get the Shadow Tracker Pistol by trading 400 gold bars with him.

Night Hawk Revolver – For 400 gold sold by Guggimon

Guggimon is another NPC that is located in Lockie’s Lighthouse, near Coral Castle. To get the Night Hawk Revolver, you need to trade 400 gold bars with him.

Marksman Six Shooter – For 400 gold sold by Abstrakt

Retail Row is the home of Abstrakt, an NPC that trades the Marksman Six Shooter for 400 gold bars.

Storm Scout Sniper – For 500 gold sold by Riot

The Yellow Steel Bridge is located between Misty Meadows and Catty Corner. Here, you will find Riot, who sells the Storm Scout Sniper in exchange for 500 gold bars.

Pulse Rifle – Dropped by Slone

Dr. Slone’s Pulse Rifle is dropped when you kill Slone in Corny Complex. But this is not an easy job because Slone has two guards – who look exactly like her. The best way to get to her is to kill off her guards one at a time, don’t try to fight them all at once.

The Battle Pass

The Battle Pass is something you have to pay for to get the season’s cool skins, emotes, harvesting tools and more- as you level up.

Skins in the Battle Pass:

  • Customizable Kymera (Page 1)
  • Sunny (Page 2, 9 stars)
  • Guggimon (Page 4, 9 stars)
  • Joey (Page 5, 9 stars)
  • Unzipped (Page 6, 7 stars)
  • Zyg (Page 7, 9 stars)
  • Dr. Slone (Page 8, 9 stars)
  • Rick Sanchez (Page 10, 9 stars)

You get 5 battle stars for each level you gain. You can use these battle stars to claim rewards from the Battle Pass. So as you level up, you slowly earn everything that the Battle Pass has to offer. Players that don’t have the Battle Pass can only reach Lvl 100, but people that do can reach even higher levels; They can earn everything the Battle Pass has to offer by Lvl 215.

The Beginning of Fortnite: Battle Royale

Fortnite is a very popular game that is played by millions of people all over the world. It has some pretty basic rules that you can learn too!

The Main Aim

Fortnite has all kinds of different modes, such as Creative, Save the World, and the most popular one: Battle Royale. Since this is the mode most people want to play in, we are going to only focus on it. The main goal in Battle Royale is to earn first place, or Victory Royale, by surviving the game until all hundred players are down. But there is a catch, because you have to do this while saving yourself from the storm. To get away from the storm, people follow the white line on their map. This leads into the circle, the only place that is safe from this terrible storm…

The Beginning

When the game starts, you will find yourself on an island with all the other hundred people, but the game has not yet begun. Before long you will spawn in the blue battle bus with the rest of the players. But on back on the island, you can practice your building and shooting techniques.

On the bus, you can look at your map and choose where you want to land. As you continue on with the game, you will find that the storm closes in. Because the distance to the circle is sometimes very long, you will have to hurry. If you get stuck in the storm, your health level will slowly drop, which is something you have to keep an eye on. You can use many items to restore your health and shield:

all about fortnite
For Health:
  • Med Kits can be used to restore health to 100%
  • Bandages restore about 15% health per bandage; But the game only allows you to use up to 75% of your health
  • Chug Splashes are also used to restore health; But how much depends on the number of Splashes you use
For Shield:
  • Small shield potions (One potion for 25%) The game only allows you to use these up to 50% of your shield
  • Big shield potions (One restores 50%) Two of these will restore your shield to 100%
  • Shield can be restored by chug splashes as well; And the same rule as for your health is required

Be wise about what you choose to get, as you only have 5 slots for your inventory space. For example, on default is your harveting tool, and the rest can look like this:

  1. A shotgun
  2. Any type of assault rifle or a gun that you can shoot with from a distance. (You should have at least 2 guns in your inventory)
  3. A submachine, or a gun that uses light bullets and shoots fast. (optional)
  4. Small Shields or Big Pots (6 small shields or 3 big pots can be picked up at max)
  5. Med Kits (You can pick up 3 Med Kits in one slot of your inventory space)

Guns, med supplies, and locations have all changed with the new season, and if you want, you can learn all about it on my next post by following this link:

http://sagarikablogs.com/season-5-changes-mythics-battle-passv-bucks-and-more/

What to do Now?

As you know, Fortnite is super popular, but locations on the map can also seem pretty crowded. So if you’re looking for a fight, the most popular places are Boney Burbs, Lazy Lake, and Sweaty Sands.

These places are crowded with players, so be sure to land on a roof.

The main reason for this is because you can use your harvesting tool to break the roof of the house, and go inside where you can find a chest. (There is at least one chest and ammo box in a house). Chests are important because they provide guns, and med supplies to keep your health up. Ammo boxes are also crucial, as they are needed for your guns to actually get loaded; It would probably be unfortunate for your gun to be empty in the middle of a fight; So remember to keep your guns loaded by gathering plenty of ammo!

After this, start fighting; If you see players around that you think you can take on, then do it! But be careful, because if you are new to the game, you might not be as advanced. Some people don’t even engage in fights for the whole game at all.

Now that you have got an idea of how the game is like, you can move on to learning all about Fortnite’s unique way that makes it so different from other games! So what are these special things that I can’t stop talking about? Well don’t worry, just take a look at my next post:
