No Good Nick -TV Show-Review

No Good Nick, Directed by Keetgi KoganDavid H. Steinberg

no good nick rating

no good nick tv show

No Good Nick pretends to be a distant relative to the Thompson family, and tricks them into adopting her. Jeremy is suspicious right from the start, because nothing about her seems right. He was determined to figure Nick out before she did something terrible. But she is out for revenge and won’t stop until she has made the Thompson’s life as miserable as they made hers. . .

When this show first came out, not many people believed in its success. But, watching it, proved them wrong. First of all, the plot twist, storyline, and the cliffhangers at the end of each episode, give the show a little bit of suspense, making it a real nail biter. The acting is great, and characters are portrayed well. Nick, the main character, is a street-smart, witty, and intelligent kind of girl. The show however, has a laugh track, and the humor is kind of pushed. At first, the jokes seem a little mean, but you get used to it. But following Nick’s journey with the Thompson family, and getting to see just how far she will want to go to help her dad, is the best kind of experience. I will definitely recommend this show, and will be watching it again myself soon!

The A List -TV Show – Review

The A-List, Directed by Will Bigham

the a list

the a list

The A-List is a mystery-thriller series available on Netflix. It tells of a story filled with drama in the secluded island where some teens are staying for camp. Away from home, away from other people…But are they away from the dangers lurking in the secrets of this island?…

This movie is perfect for when you want to watch a good mystery/horror show, with a bit of humor! The storyline had me captured, and was intriguing nonetheless. I didn’t like however, how the characters were oversimplified, and their scripts didn’t make sense in some parts of the show. Also, the good actors with small parts were shadowed behind the main characters, and too underdeveloped.

Mia and Amber’s feud adds to the drama. Luka, the runaway criminal, is a strange, but acceptable addition to the cast of this show. The friendship and tension between Luka and Mia was bizarrely entertaining. My favorite part of the show was definitely the ending. The suspense made me strongly crave or the next season, wondering what will happen. Some might call it sequel-clickbait, but I am all for it!

This show is directed for younger teens, but contains some mild scariness.

Jessie -TV Show – Review

Jessie, Directed by Pamela Eells O’Connel

Jessie
(4/5) PG
jessie

Summary

Jessie is a Comedy-Drama Sitcom available on Disney Plus. It is the story of an incident that led to an unpredicted nanny for the Ross family. She was probably the best nanny they ever had; But, she only came here to fulfill her dreams of becoming a Hollywood star. Each episode is a day in the crazy lives of the Ross family, and it will have you doubled over with laughter and emotion at the same time!

Review

Jessie is the type of show that I have no problem re-watching several times. The interesting plot, humor, and drama, will keep you hooked. I also love how every episode is different, because it makes me want to continue watching; wondering what the next one will be about.

All the characters have something special about their personalities, and even though they might not always get along, the Rosses are always there for each other at the end of the day. Jessie’s personality definitely stands out because she is a strong independent woman who never gives up on her dreams, even after getting rejected multiple times. Her love for the Ross kids starts to grow, and develops into something that might be an obstacle on her path to pursuing her dream. But will Jessie choose her career or the kids?

Bunkd -TV Show – Review

Bunkd, Directed by  Pamela Eells O’Connell

bunk'd

Bunkd continues the adventures of Emma, Ravi, and Zuri. In this show, their millionaire parents send them to a summer camp. But when they get there, it is nothing like they expected; The camp director is a mean lady, and the food served there is just disgusting. All they wanted was to spend summer vacation with their parents, but now they were stuck in Camp KikiWaka. Could this be the worst summer of their lives?

Bunkd is hilarious and will leave you in fits of laughter as you watch the Ross family’s everyday life in camp KikiWaka. The first 2 seasons were amazing. You got to follow them as they learned to adapt to their weird surroundings and make new friends.

But seasons 3 and 4 were a letdown for me. The whole show is a spinoff of Jessie, and is supposed to be based on Emma, Ravi, and Zuri. However, these seasons unexplainably took away all of the main characters. The replacements were younger kids, and these kids’ acting, along with the script, ruined a great show.

Overall, this show was awesome for the first couple of seasons.

So I would recommend those seasons , because they were fun to watch and were better than the rest of the show.

Percy Jackson, The Movies

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief Directed by Chris Columbus

Percy Jackson

Percy Jackson, directed by Chris Columbus is truly a thrill to watch. Although it has its similarities with the book, it is different, and engulfs you in suspense, which leaves you wondering what’s going to happen next. I really recommend it if you have an interest in Greek mythology, or if you are looking for a great movie to watch!

The Sea of Monsters, Directed By Thor Freudenthal

(5/5) PG
percy jackson

In sequel to Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, this movie directed by Thor Freudenthal is just as good; Only better. Percy meets Clarisse, the daughter of Ares, who is the God of War. Unfortunately for Percy, he became his rival, and things get worse when Thalia’s tree got poisoned and weakened the barrier. What’s more is that Kronos might come to life once again, but Clarisse had been given the quest instead. Maybe it isn’t up to Percy to save everyone this time. . .is it?

The movies are slightly different from the book; But, it was entertaining nonetheless. Some mistakes were caught in the plot as well. However, the actors’ undeniably great performance made up for that.

Hubie Halloween – Movie -Review

Hubie Halloween, Directed by Steven Brill

Hubie Halloween

Hubie Halloween is about a kind-hearted man. His name is Hubie, and he is ready to make this Halloween safe for everyone. But no one takes him seriously, and he is always underestimated. Soon, people realize that they have to turn to Hubie, but not before some tragic events take place. That’s when they realize that Hubie might be the only one that can save them this time . . .

This movie is just perfect for the October month, but feel free to watch it anytime! It’s another Adam Sandler movie, one that will creep you out but make you double-over with laughter too. I enjoyed watching this movie very much because it made me laugh a lot – and not many movies can do that. There were a few bits of dry comedy here and there though.

I loved how the cast included a lot of great actors and actresses; ones that most people grew up watching and are very familiar with, such as Adam Sandler, Peyton List, Noah Schnapp, Karan Brar, and more!

One great addition to the movie was the multiple-gadget thermos, because it set off Hubie’s personality very well.

Overall, this was an amazing movie. I recommend it to people of an age older than 12, because of language and mild actions.

A Series of Unfortunate Events -TV Show – Review

A Series of Unfortunate Events, Directed by Barry SonnenfeldMark Hudis

A Series of Unfortunate Events

Summary

A Series of Unfortunate events is a very unfortunate story about three young Baudelaire orphans. A criminal named Count Olaf is supposedly after their enormous fortune, but no one believes it. There seems to be secrets that their guardians are keeping from them, and they need to figure out those secrets and escape Olaf’s clutches once and for all. Count Olaf is smart, but can the Baudelaires outsmart him this time?

Review

This show is one of the best I have ever watched. It is unique and compelling and I had such a great time watching. It is full of amazing plots, suspense, and drama-filled scenes. I love the characters, and each person acted their role perfectly. It was mesmerizing to see how well the cast got along with each other, and how good the acting was.

There were several twists in the show, each leaving the audience in wonder, and craving for the next episode. The dark, exciting, and adventurous theme also makes it incredibly interesting to watch.

Overall, it is a spectacular show, and I recommend it to anyone who loves mystery and suspense!

Alexa and Katie -TV Show – Review

Alexa & Katie, Directed by Heather Wordham

Alexa and Katie

Alexa and Katie have been best friends forever, and are dying to experience their first day of high-school! But word gets out that Alexa has cancer, after an unfortunate incident in school. She learns to accept who she is, and this becomes even more easier with Katie by her side. They both go through ups and downs in high-school, but they are inseparable, and got through those times together. Nothing can ever break Alexa and Katie’s special friendship, especially not cancer! Right? . .

Alexa and Katie is an amazing show. It describes how hard it is for people who have cancer, and how their friends can help them get through it all. This friendship between the two is incredible, and it sends positive messages.

I liked how there were some parts of the show that made me tear up, but it was eased by the comedy reliefs. Jennifer and Dave were two of the most hilarious characters in this show, and their acting was impeccable.

Once season 3 started, the side characters such as Hannah and Reagan, along with the whole show, got a little more development, which I loved.

Overall, this show was heartwarming and very funny, and I definitely recommend it to everyone!
