Impostor and crewmate roles in Among Us are both really important. So here is what you should do if you become either one!

Strategies for Impostors

Most impostors aren’t successful in a game because they are too obvious, or sus. To be a good impostor, you have to act like you are part of the team, and gain other people’s trust.

• Try not to stay in vents for too long, or people will start noticing your disappearance throughout the game.
• When sabotaging an area, hide in a vent near that place, so you can jump out and quickly kill someone without getting noticed.
• Don’t ever vote out your imposter buddy, instead, try to cover for them if they are being called out. But be subtle, because people might think you are also sus if you’re defending the imposter.
• In an emergency meeting that is against you, keep calm. If someone saw you kill, you need to find a way to turn around the blame.
• Don’t yell “BLUE SUS” or anything. Instead, keep your cool and say something like, “I think it is blue, I saw him leaving the place where the body was found.” This way, even though you’re lying, people won’t immediately vote you out the next meeting because you said the words “I think”.
• Please remember to have good sportsmanship. In the next game, you might say “good game” or even apologize if you feel guilty for pointing fingers at an innocent crewmate.

Strategies for Crewmates

Are you always the first one to die in a game? It gets annoying, doesn’t it? Well here are some tips on how you can survive longer.

• Do your tasks in groups, it reduces the chances of you getting killed.
• Always complete your tasks first, don’t run around doing nothing, or you’ll seem sus. This may seem obvious, but many people forget this rule.
• To prove you are innocent in an emergency meeting, say that you were with another crewmate. For example, “I was with blue in electrical.” Also, do visual tasks in front of other crewmates such as asteroids, med bay scans, and the storage garbage task.
• Try not to be alone with anyone else because chances are, they might be the impostor. So do your task as fast as you can and get out of there!
